Couples seeking convenience
The location is excellent, just a stone's throw from the historical landmarks and the lively cider streets, which is a definite plus. Had a nice surprise with two complimentary bottles of water in the room, a small touch but when you're out late, it's a lifesaver.
It wasn’t exactly budget-friendly, but the situation did make it somewhat acceptable.

We had a decent stay, and the location right by Gascona Street was a banger for late-night cider sesh! But the brekkie was a bit pants—could've had more than just stale bread. Still, would pop back if we ever find ourselves in Oviedo again.

Oh, the culinary gems nearby! Sidreria Casa Maria (just 0.1 km away) served the best Asturian cider, and the warm apple pie at La Marimorena (0.1 km) was a total showstopper. Our stay in the spacious Double or Twin Room was just what we needed after cycling through the city streets, and the welcoming reception made us feel right at home.
While the hotel was simple and clean, my only quibble is that without air conditioning, it was a tad stuffy during our stay.

comfortable stay with a great location
The Gran Regente is well-located, making it easy to explore both the historic and modern parts of the city. My room featured a handy small fridge, which was great for keeping drinks cool during my stay. The staff were genuinely friendly and eager to help. The mountain view from my window was a lovely touch, adding to the overall experience.
The hotel has a bit of a conference vibe, which detracted from the holiday experience.

Not the worst, not the best
Front desk staff were a bit snappy on arrival, which wasn't great. The room was quiet, and the breakfast spread was nice with good options. The bathroom was cramped, though, making movement tricky. Still, the location's solid—just a short walk to vibrant cafes! it could definitely use some improvements.

Spacious room, clean room, with a stunning view of the nearby San Pelayo Monastery and a fantastic breakfast spread that includes homemade cakes, providing a local culinary flavor.
Everything was flawless.

It was just a great match for a brief sojourn in Oviedo with outstanding value for money. The internet was good, making it easy to stay connected. Request a room away from the street for a quieter experience.

The stay featured a great location, with easy access to both the old and new sections of the city. The room was spacious and impeccably clean, providing a comfortable retreat. Despite a hearty breakfast filled with delicious homemade cakes, managing the air conditioning was a challenge that caused sleepless nights, as it automatically turned off at night. The staff were accommodating but unable to resolve the temperature issues during our stay, which was frustrating.
